I lost my audio driver after a crash. I attempted to troubleshoot and discovered something. The system reported: One or more audio services aren't active. Both Windows Audio and the Audio End Point Builder must be running for audio to function properly. At least one service is not operational. I tried restoring to an earlier state but kept encountering a crash with error code: Critical Process Died. I’m unsure what to do now. Even opening CMD as admin isn’t possible—the right-click option is missing, and when I try to open it, it demands an admin password.

Process details: wininit.exe is the critical process that failed. Error record shows: Cannot read Exception record at address 0000000000000002. Error code: 0x51555080. Stack text: ffffb78d`ca23ebf8 fffff801`5ffc61eb. This issue appears to be a blackbox problem with NT and NTFS services disabled. I can’t even access CMD in admin mode anymore.

I've faced the same issue before. I reached out to Gigabyte, who mentioned a delay of several months. Since I'm in Canada without a backup plan and can't afford another purchase right now, I'm stuck waiting. Have you had similar problems resolved?

I haven’t seen the problem get fixed. I managed to stop it briefly by swapping out the RAM modules. I sent the laptop back to Gigabyte in Thailand for a month-long troubleshooting session, replacing several parts but still finding no solution. They even upgraded the machine from a XE5 to a YE5, suspecting GPU or motherboard issues. As a result, they upgraded my laptop from a 3070ti to a 3080ti GPU and increased the CPU from 12700k to 12900HK, but the freezing problem persisted. After returning the laptop, I diagnosed it myself using Reddit forums and similar communities. Many suggested checking the RAM slots. I replaced the RAM and was pleased—until the same issue returned after a couple of months. I suspect the RAM slots are faulty, causing the sticks to fail. I filed another warranty claim with Gigabyte Thailand, awaiting replacement parts. I could have bought new RAM myself but decided against it, feeling it wouldn’t be worth the cost for a device that keeps having problems. Please let me know if you replace the RAM and whether the issue resolves.
