Hello everyone, I’ll set everything aside and explain my issue. Sorry, maybe my English isn’t perfect. I’m using an R5 5600G with two 8GB RAM sticks at 3200MHz, a HyperX Gigabyte A320M, and a 2.5GHz CPU. The system runs at 1.1 GHz with XFX RX 5600XT THICC II PRO. It has one SSD, one HDD, and storage devices of various sizes. My main problem is that I previously had an R5 2600 with a GTX 1050 Ti. Both had the same RAM, motherboard, and storage, but I used different power supplies. I upgraded to the new CPU first, then the GPU, and everything worked fine until I switched to the newer GPU. When I tried to start the PC, it would turn on briefly, then shut down after a few seconds. Fans and RGB stayed on for almost no time, then everything would cut out. After a short delay, the RAM LEDs would light up again, but it was all over. People suggested my PSU might be faulty. I replaced it with a new one (NZXT C750W) and installed it. It still had the same issue—shutting down instantly. Others said the GPU was the cause, but I tested it in someone else’s setup and it worked perfectly. They also mentioned the motherboard couldn’t handle the new GPU. I updated my BIOS to version F55 and reset it. I tried different PSUs, but none worked. Now I’m considering a new motherboard. My concern is whether upgrading the motherboard would fix things, especially since I’m on a tight budget and already spent on the PSU. I have a proof video explaining everything.
Probably the board isn't worth it. You don't need to pay another 100 dollars because buying new AM4 is overpriced. A used midrange B3/450 from the gaming plus/tomahawk, Aorus Elite, Pro4/Steel Legend, or Strix-F would cost around 50 dollars and still be decent.
Using the A320 chipset suggests PCI-E 3.0 support and an integrated GPU CPU, which limits you to eight PCI-E lanes. Your graphics card likely needs the AMD Smart Access Memory (Resizable BAR) setting activated in BIOS, though your system might not have that option. In rare instances, a faulty HDMI cable could prevent the card from powering on, but this is unlikely. I concur with the person who mentioned it (they’re probably long-named), that swapping the motherboard could be the simplest fix. Btw you can just use the @ symbol and you can autofill after typing a few chars Used b3/450 > a520, the aformentioned used b3/450 will crush any a520 board even if you dont overclock, usually youll have more i/o (usb ports, pcie slots etc.), better vrms, etc. I mean theres also lowend matx b450 but those arent that much cheaper than the midranger atx boards, also gen4 doesnt matter for anything other than the 6500xt/6400 since gen4 nvmes are useless for the most part and gpus that arent crippled pcie lanes wise wont be utilizing the full x8 or x16 pcie 3.0 bandwidth and youll def wanna oc that 5600g since stock itll probs only do a paltry 4ghz allcore, cezzane should be capable of 4.5-4.6ghz allcore at ~1.3v so itll be a pretty decent performance boost and all it takes is a few clicks, think pbo is also a good way to oc but if it doesnt go past 4.6ghz singlecore dont think its worth it ram oc is optional but highly reccomended due to the halved cache, 1:1 fclk at ~5000 ddr4 is ideal but at a certain point near the mobo or ram ic limits things get painful fast (very annoying to tune and stabilize) so id only reccomend 4400-4600, though itll be alot more tedious than cpu oc and youll have to run a stresstest like p95 largeffts for a few hours

A B550 board works well if you anticipate future upgrades to PCIe 4.0 CPUs, but budget models lacking heatsinks on VRM struggle beyond PCIe 3.0. This offers a balanced trade-off. The price at $70 makes it a reasonable choice. If you plan to upgrade later, the PCIe 4.0 lanes will be useful, though B450 boards like Gigabyte are limited to PCIe 3.0 and provide more USB ports, RAM slots, and built-in wireless. For those interested in overclocking, this isn’t always a priority, so I rarely emphasize it unless someone is willing to invest time and money.
Therefore, I don't suggest pushing the maximum clock speed to 4.5-4.6ghz allcore with vcore between 1.3-1.35 and a moderate LLC configuration. That level is fairly conservative, mainly because returns slow down beyond that point. For CPU performance, you'll notice noticeable gains by adjusting just three parameters—multiplier, vcore, and LLC—which can be set quickly (about 15-30 minutes). The p95 latency is less critical since this setting should work well for most CPUs; it mainly requires running it for a short time, possibly with PBO enabled. You won't face major issues with stability unless you push the limits.
Even with an OC profile, tuning will still be straightforward, especially if you're using a standard DDR4 setup. The main challenges come from RAM limitations and the need to balance speed with stability. If your motherboard supports it, you can get good results without overcomplicating things. Just avoid going too close to the maximum limits, as that could cause problems later. Overall, it's better to spend a few minutes fine-tuning rather than risking instability for marginal gains.
