Gigabyte 360mm ice
I just put in my Gigabyte 360mm and it causes the CPU to get super hot, often exceeding 100 degrees. It doesn’t cool properly and the fans start spinning fast when it overheats. I’ve also added new thermal paste, but the issue persists. The fans speed up and ramp up because of the heat. The setup includes a 4000D frame, B850 motherboard, RX 9070 GPU, RM1000E power supply, and a 3600mm case.
It depends on where you see the temperature reading. If it appears on the BIOS screen, it’s likely during startup. If it shows while gaming, it might be related to performance. Otherwise, it could be in between. Knowing this helps pinpoint the problem more accurately.
If the temperature hits 100°C before you see the bios screen, it likely points to an issue near the CPU. I suspect the cooling system might be improperly installed. AIO units often have plastic labels on their cold plates—remember to take them off before putting in the cooler? If you did, check the thermal paste application and ensure the cooler was secured properly.
