Hello, your recent purchase of a MacBook Pro 13 is exciting! Since it lacks an Ethernet port, you're relying on gigabit Ethernet for audio via Dante, which is essential for consistent performance. The adapter from USB-C to Ethernet adds some uncertainty—please share your experience so I can help. Regarding investment, the cost shouldn't significantly impact performance or reliability as long as you choose a quality adapter. Let me know if you need further guidance!

I tried a 2015 13-inch model with a TB2>GbE adapter, and everything worked perfectly. Just use the genuine Apple adapter instead of a counterfeit one.

You're puzzled about adapter compatibility and reliability. It's understandable—Apple doesn't sell its own adapters for TB3, and third-party options often have mixed reviews. Belkin products usually have lower ratings, which might explain the confusion. For USB to Ethernet adapters, reliability varies by brand; reputable names like Anker or Belkin tend to perform better. Consider checking recent user experiences before purchasing.

The Belkin model on the Apple Store appears to mainly stem from faulty initial drivers. Many users report that updating the driver resolves the issue effectively. Another approach involves using a TB3 to TB2 adapter, then connecting the Apple TB2 to an Ethernet Adapter (such as the Apple TB2). This method also functions well. Alternatively, purchasing a TB3 hub is a viable option—there are numerous choices, and most support Gigabit Ethernet.
