The game performance is quite strong after optimization. Many settings can be adjusted without noticeable visual changes, though they may slightly affect frame rate. I previously ran it at 1440p with 980i, achieving around 42 fps—about a 20% drop. Using FXAA helped blur the image, but sharpening at 60% made it look sharper. Video playback offered a 60% sharpening option, which matched FXAA but still kept the frame rate around 42 fps. After switching to enhanced mode, the frame drop was minimal (around 7 fps), and the visual improvement was noticeable. The transition to God Rays added a 10 fps gain, making stuttering less noticeable. Overall, it improved performance significantly, using less VRAM and reducing stutter, especially when tweaking other parameters. I tested extensively and found the game runs much smoother now, delivering a better experience.

I discovered some cool items here and plan to test a few. I'm using a GTX 980.

It should be off. 42 FPS at ultra settings with 980 Ti seems too low. I recall being around the high 40s to low 50s with a 1080p at 1440P/ultra on the beta.

Even with sli, I maintain a similar frame rate regardless of the single card used. You can boost all other settings to ultra speed.

I observed several matches featuring 980ti's SLI against a GTX 1080. In some instances, the 1080 managed to win by just a small amount, which helped me better understand the situation.

It refers to the specific impacts of NVDIA that slow down the game. What do you mean by "too low"?

Sure, I can run a single card benchmark for you. Just let me know which card you'd like to test and any specific metrics you're interested in.
