So I've spent around 30 hours on this game in single-player solo mode, and everything has been smooth so far. But then the game just stopped without any error messages. I tried to restart it, but it didn't come back. The splash screen appears, and it's syncing my saves to the cloud, but then it jumps back to the UPlay screen for GWR. I checked Task Manager and saw GWR.exe launching whenever I asked it to, along with a couple of other processes, likely anti-cheat tools. They all close after the sync. I was really looking forward to the mission where we meet a character in La Cruz, but I'm confused about what's happening. Is my game broken? I can't even launch a new game now, and I've checked my files, reinstalled the game, deleted everything from the system, but the problem persists. I even shared this on the Ubi forum, but there aren't any users there.
Check the game cache on Steam by right-clicking the game, selecting Properties, then Local Files, and verify integrity. Just noticed you did that—really odd.
Bought it on UPlay but I've already done that. Could the anti cheat tool be causing this? Cause as soon as that runs in task manager the game the grw.exe closes followed by the cheat thing. Are they blocking my account or something? Not received any notice of that and I don't see why they'd do that anyway.
