Ghost Recon: Operation Wildlands (high memory consumption issue)
Ghost Recon: Operation Wildlands (high memory consumption issue)
Greetings, here’s a breakdown of my system:
Intel Core i5-3470
8GB RAM at 1600MHz
Nvidia GeForce RX 580 with 8GB VRAM
H61M-K motherboard
CX600 power supply
I obtained a pirated copy of Wildlands and immediately configured all graphics settings to maximum in MSI Afterburner. My RAM usage spiked to 8100MB, at which point the game froze. After a few minutes of waiting, it loaded beyond 75%, but then froze again (this persisted until it reached 97% before crashing), and Windows reported a low memory issue.
I subsequently attempted to run the game again, reducing all graphics settings to minimum and lowering my resolution to 1024x768. The RAM usage remained consistent, and the same freezing issue occurred.
Furthermore, I increased my pagefile size to 65GB through advanced system settings, and the game successfully reached 99% completion before freezing in a similar fashion. My RAM usage was 7900MB, and the pagefile utilized approximately 29GB.
I’m genuinely baffled; what is going on? 😀
Unfortunately, my nation’s currency is significantly devalued, and video games are prohibitively expensive to purchase.
