I watched Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex nonstop thanks to my friends, and I really enjoyed it even though I was unsure about starting with an unfamiliar anime. Once I finished the series, I saw that a PC version is now available on Steam—early access only. It originally came free, but under early access it costs $4.99 USD (which includes a skin), plus other paid expansions. I’ve never pre-ordered anything before; my previous experience was pretty standard, like Halo 4. I’m unsure about committing right now because it will eventually become free, but I’m really into the series and would consider giving it a try if it’s good. The game seems similar to Call of Duty, which I don’t mind since it’s from a great anime and I mostly play FPS games. It’s about 1/10 the price of a typical COD title, so I doubt it’ll be much less. I’m not buying the ~$5 option because it only gives one skin and early access, whereas I’d prefer something lower or wait until it’s fully free-to-play. There might be an option to use Tachikoma too. What do others think about early access? Have they tried it? Can you return through Steam if it doesn’t work out? What price would you suggest? Also, this trailer is pretty cool—cheers!

Also, there are steam refunds available for players with less than 2 hours of playtime and who have purchased the item for under 2 weeks.

initial access isn't great, honestly, but now I understand it's happening, so I'll try to get in early.

I believed it would be a free-to-play title in its early stages, priced around five dollars. People also say it’s really bad.

It's Nexon, therefore it's likely not a good idea.
