I've been attempting to activate 16x mode for quite some time. Could you review your setup and point out anything that might prevent it? Your details are clear from the screenshot, though your system is an I7-8700k with an Asus ROG Strix Z370, 32GB RAM, 3200MHz, PCI X slot. Thanks for your help!

It appears the system is using PCIe 3.0 x16 and functioning properly. The Z370 cannot handle PCIe 4.0, which explains the reduced speed to 8 GT/s instead of 16 GT/s.
