She received a report on November 10, 2022 at 2:46 PM indicating a crash on her computer. The crash dump file was saved as C:\Windows\Minidump\111022-6578-01.dmp. The bugcheck highlighted a memory management issue with code 0x1A and several hex details pointing to potential hardware faults. Analysis suggested the problem might stem from a hardware fault, especially if certain parameters changed slightly. It was noted that this could be linked to overheating concerns. Further reading on memory corruption and thermal management was recommended.

These results point to memory problems. Memory-related concerns could stem from defective RAM (either one or both), a malfunctioning controller on the CPU, a faulty or damaged RAM slot on the motherboard, or a combination of these factors. PassMark Memtest86 is useful for testing RAM integrity. Alternatively, you can follow a more thorough approach by testing each RAM module individually to see if the issues remain. If one module fails while the other works, the problem likely lies with that specific component. However, if both modules display symptoms, it may indicate a controller or slot issue rather than isolated memory faults. I’d start by running Memtest86 and proceed from there.

We use Memtest86 and it achieved two passing results; to be cautious I’ll ask her to test another set of RAM sticks from a friend and check if the issue resolves. Thanks!

Hi there, sorry for the delay. There were a few issues, but the RAM was swapped out and everything is now working properly! Thanks for your patience!
