Getting worse at csgo
Hi. Recently my performance seems to be declining. I often struggle to achieve double-digit kills. Last year with my old PC, which could only handle 75 frames on a 1280x1024 75 Hz monitor, I was improving and enjoying the game more. In October, I upgraded to a new PC, but issues began after switching to a 1080p 144 Hz monitor. Now I don’t feel the game at all, can’t maintain a fixed resolution or crosshair. I tried native 1080p with a 4:3 stretch and black bars, but nothing works. Some suggested taking breaks for days. Any advice?
Do you have any inquiries regarding your abilities or your computer?
I'm wondering why my gamesense and skill are declining despite using new or improved gear. I understand players need time to adjust, but this issue hasn't improved in two months. Have others experienced similar problems?
Usually there is some time to adjust with new hardware, but it doesn’t usually last as long as the time you’re experiencing. If you’re struggling to adapt to your new system, try matching your old configurations: choose your resolution to what you used before (1280x1024, including any stretched or black bars), set your monitor speed to 75hz or the closest supported rate, and cap your in-game FPS at what you averaged on your previous setup. Ideally, if you still have your old monitor, use it temporarily to test if it improves things.
If adjusting settings doesn’t work, you might just be in a slump. For guidance on that, consider other forums like r/GlobalOffensive on Reddit—this isn’t the right place for gameplay tips.
Hi. I compete mostly and have 620 wins, which means I've played about 1300 competitive games. Before competitions, I usually play deepmatch or wingman to warm up. I practiced on workshop maps for aiming but they didn't really help. I'm still in a losing streak. I believe in two months I moved from Guardian 2 to Nova 1.
