I was attempting to set up chromeos on my laptop using an i3 1115-g4. Followed the instructions but couldn't establish a password because it crashed. All the steps were correct, and there was a 14GB file available. After using Rufus to burn it, I encountered errors—my PC displayed "loading brunch framework," while my laptop prompted for a kernel load. I tried version 130; do older versions work too if you use the right codename?
