I've been away from the game for some time, yet the ongoing breakup of ISO streaming platforms has made me want to download top-tier Linux images. I checked forums but didn’t find any advice or tutorials on getting Linux ISOs. Anyone have suggestions on where to start?

Well, it seems the discussion shifted to another section. Probably my mention of privateering wasn’t clear enough.

It's worth exploring such discussions despite the restrictions, as many communities already welcome them. You can find similar threads in other forums or search online for relevant conversations.

Visit the Linux Mint site, save the ISO file, and use Rufus to write it onto a USB drive. Depending on your system, version 21.1 should work; if unsure, try version 20.3. Some laptops might not support version 21.1. Make sure your BIOS recognizes the USB before attempting to boot. Once installed, you can launch Linux and check its appearance. Installation is handled through the third icon on the desktop. I've completed more than 50 installs, so it should be straightforward.
