Hey there, jokes about you! Those who switch the shift key often find TF2 fun—just don’t expect it to be a breeze every time. You can usually adjust how the keys work to suit your needs.

I dislike controllers a lot. Your aim is too slow and not very precise.

I focused really hard. With practice, your keyboard skills will improve slightly. I generally avoid changing keys much, since many games reuse the same ones. This means I spend a lot of time learning each game’s hotkeys, especially when they’re fixed and don’t let me adjust them. Usually I use CTRL or X for crouch. Some games have a prone position and a return-to-standing button, which is why I stick with X. I tend to use C Prone and X for standing.

I rely on forward and backward controls on my mouse so I don’t have to shift around.

I spent the most time using C for sneaking, but later I needed that shortcut for other tasks, so I switched to Ctrl for sneaking. On PC, you can usually customize keybindings to suit your needs. I know someone who plays with IJKL instead of WASD/ZQSD, and others prefer ESDF because it adds a row of keys to the left or keeps their index finger on the F key for better control.

I transferred to the console around two years back and had trouble with those two keys at first. After roughly a week it worked out. Initially my pinky felt a bit sore. Keep going, buddy.

It generally requires a bit of time to adapt to their use. I realized everything back in 2009 after switching from click-based controls in Wow. Getting comfortable wasn’t hard.
