I’m sure I understand how to portforward; I’ve done it for a while and it’s working correctly on port 21. The router I use is a Linksys.

The modem was the bright house that left me uncertain about its model; the Linksys model was E3000.

Many ISP modems function as routers too, so they include a firewall. Look at the label—did you add DdWRT to your Linksys router?

I can't locate the modem model since it's located elsewhere. I understand it isn't a multi-modem/router setup, and I don't see DD-WRT installed.
