I recently built my first PC and chose the 3200G for its good value. Priced at $99 in Australia, it was a smart decision compared to the usual $139. I began experimenting with overclocking right away. Here are the details: the 3200G (stock cooler) paired with an MSI B450m PRO-M2 MAX, 8GB Corsair LPX RAM at 3200MHz, and a 3200Mhz Corsair VS450 PSU. After some adjustments and testing, I reached 4GHz at 1.37V. I kept RAM at 3200Mhz but lowered the clock to 3.9GHz at 1.35V after a crash the previous night, preferring a more stable CPU. The issue seems to be with the integrated graphics, as I managed to hit 1600Mhz at 1.3V, though GPU-Z shows higher voltage. Does the CPU and integrated graphics always share identical voltages? Also, is there a setting to limit the clock speed to 1600Mhz under load? Lastly, I’m completely unfamiliar with the BIOS settings or the SoC details. This was my first time doing OC.
igpu and cpu bits use the same ram, which is why you can get a 3200 ram if it works (check task manager > memory if unsure), but they don<|pad|>'s don't share voltage like that. It shouldn't, it should be gfx voltage, but the board can sometimes differ from what you set in bios. Make sure to confirm with tools like HWInfo64 or Ryzen Master that the values match. Lower the settings until you confirm it's actually running at 1.3v if that's an issue. Also, ensure in BIOS "UMA Frame Buffer" is at 2gb, as this affects apu voltage and memory connections. It's important the chip stays at max 1.2v, not exceeding it. Remember, bios settings don't always reflect real-time performance, so verify with utilities to avoid overvolting the apu.
