I never had to create a post like this before, but I’m hoping someone can assist.
Recently I put together a PC for my brother, and it’s been functioning well for a few weeks during heavy gaming sessions. However, he noticed that while watching YouTube without any stress, the system would suddenly shut down and fail to restart. The RGB motherboard lights would illuminate, but pressing the power button would produce an audible click before nothing happened. After checking several obvious fixes, we bought a new PSU along with fresh cables, and it was the faulty GPU power cable that caused the issue.

Even now, once the system powers on and all components operate normally, there’s no display output to any monitors—whether from the GPU or motherboard. We’ve tested multiple cables for each port, but nothing seems to work. I’ve come across discussions about BIOS flashback online, but I’m not sure which situations would trigger this problem or if it would help.

Any advice or feedback would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Do you have a link to the RAM kit you're using?
I've come across discussions about BIOS FLASHBACK online, but I'm not sure which situations would require this or if it's really helpful.
You might use it if your BIOS is corrupt—either because of a problem or during a short build phase.
Refer to this guide:
View: https://youtu.be/GzpVSOtaKBU
the principle stays the same, even with a different board.
Another tip: you can run the system without the dedicated GPU, using just the integrated GPU on your processor to check if the PSU can't supply enough power when a discrete GPU is present. This might point to an issue with the discrete GPU itself.
(Corsair RM850X - original PSU)
How long has the PSU been in use?

Thank you for the welcome message.
The system performs identically whether it uses a GPU or not, but there is no video output.
The original power supply was approximately 18 months old.
Thanks, Jamie.

Have you experimented with connecting the display cable straight to the motherboard and also using all GPU slots? Also, have you attempted resetting the CMOS? This sometimes resolves the issue and gets it functioning properly.

Hello, I've already tested both of these choices and it's still the same. I'm planning to try bios flashback now, and if it fails, I'll have to give up and visit a local repair shop.
