I’d like to try installing MacOS Catalina on my PC, but I have only a basic understanding of Hackintosh techniques. I assume Intel processors work best for this, though I’m not sure if that’s accurate. Could you let me know the system specifications if you need them? Thanks!

This is a great resouce: https://www.tonymacx86.com/ Question: Why would you want to use MacOS? If you search an alternative to Windows and don't care about the Apple-special features (of which many are impossible on macos anyway): Go for Linux. Many Desktop Environments are very much like MacOS when it comes to handling. elementaryOS for absolute beginners or KDE Neon for being heavy customisable without having to use Terminal/Commands.

I don't anticipate much success, though it could be possible. TonyMacX86 forbids any talk about AMD hackintoshes—use the official site instead: https://amd-osx.com. I doubt Catalina will run, but a previous release might work.

Thanks for the responses. @caspar! I plan to use MacOS mainly for xCode, focusing on Swift and iOS app development. @duncannah thanks for the link. I’m hoping everything works smoothly.
