When I power on the system the icons appear instantly, but the small indicators on them don’t show up for 2 to 5 seconds. I’m not interested in those indicators, but the computer remains completely unresponsive until they appear. This arrow appears on every icon except the PC and the transfer tray. I tried clearing the icon cache, updating drivers for NVIDIA, Intel, Samsung (drive), uninstalling apps, but nothing works. Specs: Windows 11 64-bit Intel i7 11700F, Asus Tuf B560M-Plus, Gainward Phoenix 3070, 32 GB 3200GHz, Micron Samsung 970 EVO Plus (main drive with two partitions, one for OS and one for games), Samsung 860 Evo & Intel SSDSC2BW240H6 (game drives), Corsair RM750 Arctic Freezer 240. Sorry if there are grammar or spelling mistakes—I’m not English. Edited April 18, 2024 by Mozra

Are these shortcuts leading to network spots? That icon is the shortcut. Perhaps the path they’re showing is running slowly because the connected drive is on a computer that’s powered down. When it works quickly, the machine was active. It took me several months to understand why my PC would sometimes boot up rapidly and other times very slowly. The issue was actually the network drive I mapped, which was linked to a computer that wasn’t turned on.

They aren't showing up. I see three network drives in File Explorer, but there are no shortcuts on the desktop. There are no spinning drives on the computer itself—maybe you meant spinning drives in the network location? If that's the case, there are spinning drives available. The only web app I currently use is the Google Password Manager on my desktop.
