Recently installed Ryzen 7 5800X and ASRock B550 Riptide, I attempted to turn it on but it powers off instantly upon pressing the power button. The motherboard lights up after connecting the PSU. Could this signal a faulty PSU? I’ve previously replaced my Intel i5 9600K and 3070Ti, and I’ve used a PSU for a year with Windows 10 64-bit. My CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, RAM is HyperX Fury 8x2 2400MHz, cooler is Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black, GPU is Zotac gaming RTX 3070TI, and I’m using Samsung 980 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe in a MasterBox MS600 case.

You might have faced some issues with an older B550 motherboard that isn’t compatible with the 5000 series CPU yet. Check whether your board supports BIOS updates without needing a CPU.

I’ll let them know this when I visit the PC shop so they can help with the issue

It occurred because the PSU was the issue.
