I’ve relied on Norton before because it was affordable and performed adequately for my laptop. Consider upgrading to an SSD if possible, or explore another antivirus solution tailored for your new system.

You might download Avast for free. I faced issues with Norton while using it.

most people think they dislike Norton, I use it with my setup...it’s been my go-to ever since...but I’m not sure about all the antivirus options...soooo.

Norton feels extremely annoying based on what I've experienced. Removing it isn't easy either. I prefer relying on Windows Defender and Malwarebytes instead.

previously I removed Norton without any problems... yes, taking it off isn't simple, but it shouldn't be, since a smooth removal helps protect against malware. I enjoyed using Norton before, though its impact on system performance was noticeable.

For Windows 7 users, Microsoft Security Essentials is available at no cost. Windows 10 is likely referred to as Windows Defender. If you already have a Norton license, simply install it instead.

This offers Bitdefender internet protection for six months at no cost. I’m currently using the site http://www.bitdefender.com/media/html/60-second/.
