I ran some CPU benchmarks in Far Cry 6, set everything to ultra settings, disabled RT and focused on performance. The GPU bottleneck was removed, which made the game look smoother at 720p FPS. If I had a better GPU that could handle higher resolutions, would the average frame rates still be possible?

It indicates the engine can handle these frames per second under specific conditions. However, certain graphics settings may reduce the maximum achievable FPS because of engine constraints when those features are active. The reason for needing such high FPS isn’t clear—playing at a very low setting just sacrifices performance for minimal visual impact.

It depends on how you interpret the performance. A stronger GPU can handle more frames, but CPU limitations and settings also play a role in scaling. Check your system's bottleneck and adjust accordingly.

Uncertain to explain. As mentioned, certain adjustments affect engine limits while others increase CPU demand. This variation explains why low graphics settings or high graphics settings can lead to differing FPS in the same game when CPU and GPU aren't fully utilized.
