reviewing your manual, the black Y cable should indeed have two 4-pin connections for the fans. The mix of 4-pin and 3-pin parts has been unclear to me. Avoid cutting anything off—there’s probably a sensible reason. Hopefully, someone else can understand what I’ve said so far and assist you further. Please remain patient and refrain from cutting or forcing anything.
The instructions are hard to understand without seeing the cables first.
Check the CPU socket location on your motherboard. Case fans are typically placed in the CPU fan slots or near the CPU for optimal airflow.
the case fans are redirected elsewhere. the cpu_fan and cpu_opt adjust their speed based on your CPU's temperature. the remaining fans use different connectors on the motherboard, which change depending on the model. i’ll check online for a manual to help you identify where each fan should be connected. for your CPU cooler, the 4-pin connectors fit directly into the cpu_fan and cpu_opt without needing a y cable. i assume the y cable is only for synchronization, which isn’t required here since i own a drk rock 4 pro and don’t have one. could you share your motherboard manual? that way i can tell you exactly how many fans you need to connect, excluding the cooler.
