I’m checking out what I see here. Beginning at 32 GB, using Corsair RM1000x for the quieter mag lev fan. Why would the newer RM1000e be better? Here’s the list of components I have:

PC Part List:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qtrmGP
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz 12-Core Processor ($349.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler ($47.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($219.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-5600 CL30 Memory ($174.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD ($119.00 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Gigabyte VISION OC Rev 2.0 GeForce RTX 3060 12GB ($309.00)
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case ($94.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x (2021) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX ($169.99 @ Amazon)
Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G40B 25.0" 1920 x 1080 240 Hz ($259.00 @ Amazon)
Overall Cost: $1744.85
All prices include shipping, taxes, and any available discounts

This gives me flexibility to add more RAM, upgrade the CPU, and improve the GPU.

There are definitely more advanced motherboards with additional interfaces, so you might need to explore them to find what suits your needs. The B650 is the simplest, but at $220 it’s quite expensive; entry-level X670 boards could be a better option. The B650E offers slightly more features, while the X670 is equipped with a premium chipset. The X670E includes two X670 chipsets for maximum I/O capacity. Some boards come with built-in 10Gbps Ethernet, WiFi 6E, and most of the ones I checked only support up to 20Gbps USB 3 Type-C, which is still significant. Thunderbolt 3/4 can technically reach 40Gbps, but this is only available on a few very costly AMD models.

Selecting a GPU is quite perplexing for me. My friends who play the games I enjoy mention they are more cpu-focused now. Star Citizen is my favorite title. Based on what I previously shared about my vfx preferences, I believe artificial intelligence will shift the demand for graphic artists away from tasks like element 3d. That’s why I plan to assess GPU options purely in terms of gaming needs. For my cpu, I’m considering a 7800x3d setup, but I’m uncertain which graphics cards to choose due to limited knowledge. Some options include 4090 24gb @ 1500, 3090 24gb @ 980, 7900xtx 24gb @ 950, 4070 12gb @ 650, 4060ti 16gb @ 500, 6800 16gb @ 480, 6600 8gb @ 210. I can handle most of the other components easily, but this decision is proving challenging. There’s little justification for spending a lot on a card, yet it seems like a reasonable pick. The advantage of cheaper options is to save money and wait another year or two before purchasing a high-end GPU. The drawback is that it raises the overall cost. My idea is that this would be the only way to secure 8gb of VRAM if I invest just now and plan to upgrade later. I’m unsure how realistic waiting really is, which is why I’m seeking advice on more powerful models. Thanks in advance! I already understood your perspective, but cutting out vfx needs might change the situation.

It mainly depends on the monitor's resolution. For the 7800X3D, you won't face CPU bottlenecks or you've managed to reduce it as much as possible. For 1080p or ultra-wide 1080p, a 6750 XT or 4060ti would suffice. For 2K or 2K ultra-wide, go with the 4070ti or 7900XT. Generally, this applies to most AAA games.
