The security tab in the "Program Files (x86)" folder shows a file named "Property Windows Program Files (x86) Property.jpg" from google.com. When you click EDIT, a new window pops up asking for Permission. You can't change it to Allow or Deny because no one is there to give permission. How do I solve this problem?

Why are you trying to change permissions on a folder that belongs to someone else?

I am trying to install SONY PlayMemories HOME on my PC. The installation worked fine on Windows 10, but it stopped right now with a message saying "Unable to continue because MergeModule_x86.msi failed." My real goal is just to turn off the restrictions in the "Program Files x86" folder so I can try again. It's all about checking if this could be the problem.

Did you start this from a special admin password?

Thanks so much for helping me out there! In the meantime, I solved it by finding an old thread on another site. Still can't get Sony PlayMemories Home to install because it keeps telling me to merge a module that's x86 but my computer isn't.
