Gotta restart the installation again. I’ve got Windows 7 and a 60GB folder saved, but launching GTA V still fails with that error. Need to figure out what’s missing or if there’s another file I should get.

The game needs to be reinstalled since you mentioned W10 is bad.

Get the GTA 5 installer that also sets up Rockstar Social. When it tries to install GTA, point it at the current setup and it should apply a small update. I’m using GTA 5 on an external drive, and after reinstalling Windows 8, it worked that way. Edit: This applies only if you don’t have the Steam version.

You can use the search function to return to previous versions; it usually takes around three minutes. I performed this action on the same day I moved to Windows 10 since 8.1 feels much newer than 7 and 10. For more details, see the link provided: http://news.softpedia.com/news/how-to-re...8317.shtml
