In short, I plan to build a computer soon. Right now I use a Windows 8.1 laptop. Switching to Windows 10 would let me move the operating system, but I’ll be giving someone else the laptop. If I remove Windows 10 from the laptop, will one of the versions become unlicensed? I’ve heard that even fake copies of Windows 7 and 8 might get a free upgrade to Windows 10. If I transfer the 8.1 OS to the new system and one version is marked as illegitimate, can I upgrade to Windows 10 to restore a fully legitimate copy? Also, any tips on the USB installation process would be helpful.

Upgrading to version 10 makes the key valid for ten uses, while the 8 becomes irrelevant, effectively blocking legal piracy of Windows.

They'll get better features but won't be turned on. Still, Thiers is definitely into Windows 10—so much so... LMAO, MS failed. It's best to show everyone the real deal.
