I’m planning to replace my current setup with a new switch and router. I’m considering a 24-port Gigabit switch like the TP-Link TL-SG1024 or TP-Link Archer series. Since I don’t have much budget, I’m looking for affordable options that might offer features like PoE or higher speeds. My existing setup seems to be working, but I want to ensure it meets my needs without overspending.

Do you require PoE? Yes, I’d look into PoE switches by checking out some ServeTheHome videos on the topic. If not, the TL-SG1024 dumb gigabit switch should suffice for your basic requirements.

I don’t require PoE at all. If I do need it, I’d likely purchase a 4-port PoE network switch. The TL-SG1024 from TpLink is an older model, so I’ll look for something newer. For the router, I plan to get an AX73 or AX5400.
