Hello, I'm just starting with this overclocking process, but I think if I get the 8700K version, what should I do with OC? Can someone who uses the same board assist me in achieving stable 4.8 or 4.9 OC? I'm not aiming for full 5GZ since I'm using Dark Rock 4, which I believe is a bit weak for that.

I've tried overclocking, set the multiplier to 4.8 and left everything at auto. The system boots fine, Cinebench runs better, but when checking the CPU info (CPUID HWM monitor) during the test, the vcore is at its maximum value of 1.440, which seems way too high—temperatures aren't going past 72 degrees.

However, when I enabled Turbo Boost and ran Cinebench again, the score stayed the same, with a vcore of 1.320 and not higher. So I'm wondering if I really need to overclock?

My computer is mainly used for music and audio production. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you.

For a better cooler, but if you're changing components and getting similar results like with TB, maybe the processor is the problem. Consider reinstalling the processor, or if necessary, proceed with an RMA.
