Don't waste time on the disk, just search for drivers and hope you get something that works. Be aware there might be no solution. Linux and USB network adapters don't always play well together. Eventually I gave up and bought a long Ethernet cable instead.

All USB adaptors came ready to use right away. No installation was required. If the disk uses a Linux driver, op must be installed separately. Avoid searching online—Google can sometimes cause issues.
