The sequence of events is not clearly defined. I didn’t own PSPLUS, so my information isn’t stored online. There’s some PC data on an external HDD that I might want to back up. Hello everyone, a few years ago I purchased an external hard drive to expand my PS4 storage—I saved data and downloaded games there. Eventually, I considered using it as PC storage and wiped it clean. Over time the drive hasn’t seen much new data since my PC stopped working. Last night I tried to redownload Spiderman PS4, and unexpectedly all my files disappeared. After some research I figured it was the external HDD that likely held the data, but it was formatted and empty. I tried recovery apps and found some lost files—mostly FF-type with other types mixed in. Right now I’m unsure what to do next.
