Your PC has an i7 4790K processor with B85M-D3H architecture and no dedicated graphics card—integrated graphics is used instead. The system runs on DDR3 RAM, 2x4 configuration, with a total of 8GB memory. A VGA monitor is connected via a VGA cable, and the display shows only two resolutions: 1024x768 (4:3) and 800x600 (4:3). You mentioned your monitor supports 720p or higher, but only these two options appear.

It seems the video card might not be installed properly. If you haven’t installed it yet, you can download the appropriate driver from the manufacturer’s website for your specific model. When checking for video drivers online, make sure to select the correct operating system—Ubuntu may not have official support for Windows-only devices.

If you need further assistance, let me know!

The Intel GPU drivers come built in with Ubuntu, meaning no additional installation needed. Could you share your Ubuntu release version? Also, please describe your monitor and operating system type.

It looks like the display isn't being detected properly. You might try using xrandr to assign the right monitor: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xra...esolutions
