Hey everyone, three years ago I did a full upgrade on my PC. It was all smooth until about a year ago when the RAM slots began failing. Now I’m using just one slot out of the two available. My board is a TUF x570-PLUS, and I’ve checked online—seems like many users face the same problem; the slots just stop working.
I have the specs ready: CPU Ryzen 7 3700X, GPU NVidia 3080, RAM 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 at 3200MHz, plus a couple of NVMe drives and an SSD. I’m thinking about getting another case with Fractal Meshify and a dual cooler if that helps. I also have one 1TB NVMe drive and one 1TB SSD. Any suggestions for a better motherboard that could prevent this issue in the next year? Thanks!
Are you certain the issue was with the slot rather than the RAM? I also own Corsair Vengeance 16GB modules; one failed after six months, I returned it via RMA and received a functional replacement.
Check if the problem persists without the other CPU or the person who borrowed it.
