Hello everyone, I've recently switched from Windows 10 to Windows 11, though it isn't perfect. I'm facing a peculiar problem with how windows are managed after minimizing. For example, when I close an app like Discord by clicking the X, sometimes the window doesn't disappear, or its position gets covered in black or white. Have you seen this before? Is it a recognized issue? Any suggestions for a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I use Win11 on two computers and haven't faced this problem before, so it might be rare since I'm unfamiliar with it. Does the frozen window disappear when you right-click the desktop and press refresh? It feels like a GPU driver issue to me. Have you upgraded your drivers after installing Windows 11?

These windows stay visible after right-clicking the desktop; you can hide them by minimizing the app or closing it. I’ve ensured all system and driver updates before upgrading. I keep the newest versions of every hardware component on my machine. Would you believe the distinction between a Windows 10 Nvidia driver and the Windows 11 version affect anything?

It seems unlikely, but reinstalling the same driver might resolve the issue. You can also attempt to repair certain Windows files.

Steps:
1. Open CMD with admin privileges
2. Run sfc -scannow
3. Check for repaired Windows files
4. Restart the PC and verify the problem is resolved
