Generating a bootable USB for Hackintosh using only Windows tools
Hello everyone, I'm starting a hackintosh project for the first time. I managed to install Clover bootloader on the USB and it's working fine. Now I'm struggling to understand the basics—no one seems to explain where Clover should boot or how to place the extracted MAC DMG files. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Clover functions as a boot loader, capable of reading any bootable disk and starting the system. With it installed, it's time to create the installation media. The best method is to use Disk Utility. On Windows, you can: 1. Employ a Mac disk format reader such as Transmac 2. Launch a virtual Mac environment and burn the image from there. Once completed, connect the Clover drive to your PC, choose it as the boot device, insert the Mac installation disc, and select the Clover option in the installation settings. Proceed with the guided steps.
Are you required to store Clover and Mac installer files on different storage devices? You set up a Mac-formatted drive on your SSD, burned the Mac DMG onto a USB stick with Transmac, and now you're unsure where to place Clover.
I believe this site should address most of your issues: https://www.hackintoshzone.com/files/fil...-catalina/ I've tried their Mojave installer on my computer and it functioned perfectly. Just need to extract the dmg file and burn it onto a USB drive with TransMac.
