Hello, I'm trying to figure out a problem that's been happening since I first set up my computer. Whenever I play games—like Fortnite—I feel normal, but after some time, my reaction feels slower. I think it might be related to input lag. It's strange because on my Xbox One, using the mouse and keyboard caused the same issue. At first, I thought it was with my old RX 570 graphics card, but now I'm really confused. I don't know what to do. My friend suggested checking the display cable since I use HDMI, which makes sense given that I also used HDMI with the Xbox. It can't be the mouse either, because I've used four different ones—three Logitech and one from another brand. My computer specs are: RX 570, Ryzen 5 2600, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD.
I'm using the same display, an Asus VG245. It runs at 60Hz stock but can reach 75Hz. It seems to be a gaming monitor. What's unusual is that after turning on my PC and playing normally, my sensitivity feels sluggish and uncomfortable. This issue also occurred with my Xbox.
They might share a similar issue, like a malfunctioning monitor or mouse. Certain surfaces can affect some mice more than others. It could also be related to your eyes—eye strain from prolonged use is possible.
