Gear up for W790 Workstation HEDT – hardware makers and angel backers are in!
The rumor claims that Intel will launch the W790 Workstation HEDT chipset in Q3 2022 alongside the 13th Generation Sapphire Rapids-X desktop series. If you know more news about this topic, please comment on this thread. I would like to test this chipset with Linux, and I would like to build a machine for audio capture (recording, mixing, mastering) and video capture (rendering), with sampling based on a time card (Open Compute Project). If you are a hardware manufacturer or an angel investor get ready! With or without your help I will build this machine offering it to the public as a modular flagship model based on the concept of outsourcing and the right to repair. Can you guess which operating system I will be using ??? Linux ... In order to further lower the total cost of ownership !!! It's a big challenge and I hope other parties have the courage to face it with me ... Antonio Bonaccorso
