I once tried playing M&M's The Lost Formulas on my PC more than ten years ago. It was a lighthearted math game for children.

Silly hound, it's actually Mai Hasegawa, not some Japanese folklore creature like a griffin or monster. Oni was impressive—thank you for sharing the ideas. I hadn't considered them yet, but it might be a bit too advanced for her right now. If she could read more than three words at 6 or 7, I'd feel more confident letting her explore something like this. It seems like a solid approach, though it would likely require some trial and error. Thanks again. I was thinking about Disney, but I don’t see much educational benefit beyond basic morals. I’ll check their catalog based on your suggestion since I’m not sure what they offer. Thanks.

On my PS3, the children enjoyed Epic Mickey 2...it seemed to involve quite a lot of puzzles. Of course, it was a bit childlike in its puzzle aspects, but still quite enjoyable.

I enjoy Sonic with them and Ziggurat. My kids are ages 2-6, with a focus around 4. I’m thinking about getting a Wii U for them. They also seem interested in playing Zelda. Since they’re young, you’ll likely be the most engaging factor—they’ll pay attention and watch more than just a game.

I believed she was six years old. If she struggles with reading and writing, maybe it's too soon 🤔

these resources cover a range of ages, from early childhood to year 6. They are tailored for Australian classrooms, so you might find similar tools in your country or through local education bodies.
