The top-tier components are the ones affected the most. Since the game isn't optimized for modern systems, it struggles beyond standard console specs. The engine aimed for around 30-40 frames per second, but performance drops once you exceed that threshold.
I'm also experiencing this problem at 1080p. When I didn't enable V-sync, everything worked smoothly—my character reached the first bell tower without issues. I was seeing over 80fps on Ultra with no MSAA. But once I turned V-sync on, frame rates dropped to around 30-40. That's surprising since my GTX 970 has a 4770k and is powerful. I plan to try running it without V-sync to check if the drops occur again.
This subject completely surprised me... I’m really hoping it’s not accurate. I’m beginning to notice unsettling details about Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition, especially regarding the massive GB-writing/min code. The issue is, I don’t own either game and haven’t seen any official confirmation yet.
If this is true, than wtf, it would be the same like going offline in Unity giving a boost. I thought Far Cry for was Ubi stopping diggin, but if this is true they just paused to get better digging gear.....
He mentioned the game felt broken until he adjusted something, but now it seems worse. Ubisoft, you know?
