It seems the DirectX 12 version was detected in the DXDIAG tool, which is unusual. Could there be a mismatch or an outdated driver?

Not yet available? I believed it came with Windows 10, a major marketing push by Microsoft in 2015.

Absolutely, that's correct. If no games are compatible with DX12 yet, you won't have it, which is why my initial response made sense.

It was a trial, included in the early release. On the present W10 version it displays 11.2

Lol, it's not about whether the game supports dx12 at all. It's more about the operating system here.

It will be released as an update, primarily for Windows 10 users. The future for version 8.1 isn't clear, as version 7 is unlikely to support it. No games are expected to use it, and it may take a long time before any are available.
