Gaming routers
They’ll shift focus to promoting gaming tissues in marketing campaigns.
Depending on your perspective, a so-called 'gaming router' might offer more channels and better range or stability overall. I used a standard cable router from my provider and switched to a Netgear Nighthawk, which did improve speeds—though I should note it's mainly for marketing reasons. Just because it mentions gaming doesn't always mean it delivers real benefits; sometimes higher-end routers offer more noticeable advantages.
Gaming routers can be a bit misleading. Most come with Quality of Service settings that favor gaming traffic. In reality, a solid router can handle this too. They often add gaming features for extra cost. Don’t just buy one labeled “Gaming”—check if it actually works for you. Gaming routers aren’t inherently bad; they’re only good if the firmware is reliable.
