You're in the UK and have been assigned FIBRE 65. This connection offers high-speed internet, so the Talktalk Wifi Hub Black is suitable for basic gaming needs. For better performance, consider upgrading to a dedicated gaming router with low latency and strong signal coverage. Popular options include the ASUS RT-AX86U or Netgear Nighthawk R7000.

Gaming routers are just expensive, pre-set devices meant to drain people's money without them understanding their purpose. I recommend sticking with what you have and opting for a wired connection rather than chasing a router upgrade.

A standard router can handle the task. I’m not very familiar with routers, but gaming routers seem more like a sales pitch.
