I use an H81 motherboard without overclocking, with 8GB DDR3 at 1600MHz RAM. I notice significant stutters in most AAA games, which might be due to this setup. Would adding 16GB help? It’s still relatively slow, but I’m expecting it to struggle initially since it won’t transfer data as much. Or will it still lag like usual because of the low speed?

Here are some alternative ways to phrase that:
- Other specifications include an 8GB storage, though performance issues can stem from various causes.
- Additional details: 8GB capacity works, but occasional lag may arise from multiple factors.

Extra RAM only makes sense when you're running low. 8GB is probably insufficient nowadays, though it's possible other parts in a DDR3 setup might struggle with today's demanding games. Upgrading might not be worthwhile if you hit a performance limit elsewhere soon.

It depends on your situation. If you're running low on memory, yes—it can help. Even if games don’t load as much as they should, you’ll still see some improvement. The problem is the system needs 8GB or more in chunks to keep dual channels working, so jumping from 8GB to 16GB isn’t always necessary. It might not be worth it if memory isn’t the real issue. This is why @Yebi asked for details. If your machine is outdated and can’t handle the game, there’s little you can do to fix it.

I have an i5-4590 and am about to upgrade to an i7-4790k. I also own a GTX 1650 which reportedly gives smooth 60+ fps in Warzone. However, I’m running out of RAM completely. It works fine when I stay in one area, but it stutters heavily when I switch sides of the map, like during a transition on Rebirth Island.

It's really handy having that lead info. The [email protected] seems to perform quite well, especially for gaming, and it delivers top speeds you can achieve with current stock. Just keep in mind it won't be around much longer as a gaming rig—its specs have already surpassed what most players expect. While it boasts high clock speeds, its IPC isn't as impressive compared to the latest models. I usually get better results with a 580 at 1080p. With that setup, I maintain steady 60fps on Borderlands 3 and hit 90% CPU usage during Fallout 4.

Consider keeping your RX 6600 inside the case for optimal performance. It may help avoid bottlenecks.
