I'm planning to assemble a computer soon and usually know the components needed. I was considering the MSI B550 Gaming Plus (178$) but heard that the B550 AORUS PRO 2 (202$) is a great choice. It has features I like, such as extra USB ports and improved audio. The 2.5Gb isn't really important to me. I'm unsure which one to pick since it's more expensive. My CPU is an R5 5600X and the RAM is two 8GB modules at 3600MHz. If you have a better alternative, let me know. Apologies for any grammar issues—I'm not a native English speaker.

You also get a third pci-e x16 slot (electrically x4 or x2, didn't check), which may be useful for a hdmi capture card or something you can't fit in a pci-e x1 slot. You get alc1220 sound vs the ancient alc892 and in theory better memory overclocking (up to 5200 mhz vs only 4400 mhz on msi model) You didn't say the price, so not sure how much extra the gigabyte board is... so can't say if it's worth or not. Personally, I like the Gigabyte board more.
I had the Aorus Pro V1 and it was a really poor experience, so I’ll avoid Gigabyte boards now.
The 5600X requires minimal power, so you don’t need high-end motherboards with powerful VRMs. A solid pick is the MSI B550M Mortar for about $188. It sacrifices a few USB ports and a PCIe slot (since it’s MATX) along with a heatsink on the M.2 connector, but it offers strong VRM performance and good overall features.
Another option is the Asus TUF GAMING B550-Plus at around 785 RON (~192$). It has a decent I/O shield, USB ports, video outputs, and solid VRM. The board looks a bit bulky, but it’s a good value.
If you’re considering the Aorus Elite V2, it’s budget-friendly at roughly 450 RON (~110$), though it comes with some drawbacks like older ALC892 audio and a DVI instead of DisplayPort. It lacks a USB 10G front panel header, which might limit options for future upgrades. It should handle the 5600X and graphics cards well if you don’t need multiple PCIe slots or advanced USB features.
