This is my first time buying a gaming laptop and I don’t own one before. My budget is around 3,000 dollars. I’m a casual gamer who mainly plays PC games and some titles I can’t run on PS5, like Flight Simulator or Starfield. I want to play most games at ultra settings and plan to keep the laptop for at least five years. The best GPU would be an RTX 4080 with 32GB RAM and an Intel CPU. Storage isn’t a big concern for me—512 or 1TB should suffice—and I don’t mind the screen size, just want it to look smooth. I’m okay with a 16 or 18-inch display.
I’m open to buying an RTX 4070 if the price is very good. For example, I’m not sure if this deal is worth it:

I could also get an Alienware m16 with the same specs but a QHD screen for 1700. I have a friend at Dell who might offer me a 17% discount, so if you know of any good deals after the discount, that would be perfect.
Any suggestions on pricing or recommendations?
