I've used liquid sky on my completely outdated machine, but it didn't function properly. System details: i3 4012y at 1.5GHz with 4 cores and 4GB RAM (about 3.89 GB usable). Runs 64-bit with Intel HD Graphics.

I notice your main worry is efficiency since the monthly expense compared to gaming hours looks sensible. At peak, I play around 100 hours each month, but more often it's 30-50 hours, which aligns with some scenarios we've discussed before. My setup includes a laptop i3 quad with 1.8GHz, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD; an AMD Ryzen 7 6400X at 4GHz with 12GB RAM and a 650TII 256GB SSD, plus other storage options.
