It seems many games don't support SLI, but there are still plenty of solid options available. Your plan to build with a 970 SLI is understandable, but if it turns out to be impractical, a single 980 might be a better choice. What are your thoughts?

Most major titles handle it well, though some games might have issues depending on the engine version.

Sure, I'd be happy to clarify. Could you provide more details about what you're referring to? That way, I can give you a better explanation.

Mainly the titles that need a lot of GPU power are those supporting SLI.

Not a full catalog, yet it offers a solid overview of compatible titles. Most likely, you won’t find a dedicated listing when it first releases, though updates usually happen swiftly.

I would purchase two units from the 970 series.

They claim that having two games both using Unreal Engine 3 and one that properly supports SLI implies the other should too. I don't share that view, but I think they're making that point.

Interesting. The only games I have on that list are Dark Siders 2 and RE6. While DS2 was great, I don’t think I’ll revisit it anytime soon or dive into it soon.
