Hi, sorry for the format. I'm experiencing a strange problem lately. Whenever I play an online game—regardless of the title or launcher—I get a random DC every few minutes and have to reconnect. This happens even though I don’t lose internet. I’m using Windows 10 Pro with a wired connection directly to my modem, and all drivers are up to date. I’ve tried several fixes: opened Command Prompt with ping 8.8.8.8, reset the network adapter, flushed DNS/Renew IP, reinstalled the game, ran a virus/malware scan (no results), and even did a full clean install of Windows, but nothing worked.

Did you verify the power supply? Check the Event Viewer logs and Device Manager in System settings—they should show odd driver and hardware activity.

Thank you for your input, I’ll review it this evening. Although I don’t recognize the connection to the problem I’m facing or the defective power supply, please note this issue is limited to online gaming. All other tasks such as browsing and streaming are working normally.

It seems browsing uses minimal energy, but gaming puts a heavy load on the PSU. These could be clues that the power source is nearing failure.

When no unusual information appears in logs, replace the chipset and CPU drivers with the NVIDIA custom clean version.

I’d like to check if there’s a method to link to the internet via another device. If you’re already connected to Wi-Fi, consider using an Ethernet port (you can share it with another Wi-Fi device). Alternatively, obtain a budget Wi-Fi USB adapter or borrow one. Even without Wi-Fi, an Ethernet-to-USB adapter could work. The goal is to switch to a different networking driver or hardware to determine if the issue lies with that specific component.
