at random moments certain titles that usually work well in fullscreen begin to lag at around 10 fps or less. my system includes an rx 480 4 gb, an i5-6402p, and all drivers are current.
i’m aware of a few games that commonly face this issue—diabotical, roblox, tf2, and csgo. other titles might encounter the same problem, but i haven’t seen it yet.

Not sure if it's a laptop, but if you're okay with that - what's the make and model? How old is it? Or would you prefer a PC spec sheet, including details about the monitor?

important details from the original post and a 144hz monitor. I don't believe it's a hardware problem since this has only begun occurring this year, and I've had this PC since 2016.
