No extra charges apply for Steam purchases of games like Rocket League. The price you see, including any taxes or fees, is the final amount you pay at checkout.

The VAT is part of the total amount shown. FloRolf: If you were to add punctuation, it would make your message clearer, lol.

It varies by location. In my area, I’m exempt from taxes on purchases from Steam, while in other regions you’d have to pay.

If you'd add a punctuation mark, it would really help clarify your message, right?

In the USA, taxes are applied to all online purchases depending on your location. Just a few years ago, buying Steam games meant paying the list price without tax. Now, when you go to checkout, the total amount will already include the applicable taxes. You don’t need to purchase the item yourself—just see the full cost beforehand.

In South Africa, when you stay, VAT is part of the price. You can check if it applies during checkout before paying. If needed, you must have enough in your Steam wallet balance or add a payment method such as a MasterCard to continue.
